 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is this a certified course?

Yes! The Charlotte Half Marathon presented by Novant Health is a certified course!

Will there pace groups?

Pace groups for 1:30, 1:37, 1:45, 1:52, 2:00, 2:15, 2:22, 2:30 and 2:45 finish times will be lead by Endurance Magazine Pace Team Leaders at the marathon start line. You do not have to sign up to run with a pace group. Just line up at the start and go!

Is there a time limit?

The half marathon course has a 3-hour time limit. Because water stations, volunteers and police will not be available to participants who fall below this pace, runners will be asked to leave the course for their own safety after the 3-hour mark.

Will there be photos opportunities during the race?

Yes! We will have multiple “Selfie Stations” at some of the most beautiful locations in Charlotte. Volunteers will be ready to grab your phone, hand you the #RunCharlotte frame, and snap a photo that will be yours that second! We will also have a professional photographer at the finish line to snap your pic with your newest piece of bling from the Queen City.

Is this race open to wheelchair athletes?

Yes! Learn more about specific wheelchair rules and guidelines.

Are strollers allowed?

Yes! You must manage your own safety and the safety of other runners. We do ask that you line up towards the back if you can.
